The doctors at WRMC are trained to give IV Iron Infusions (Ferinject) for patients with iron deficiency. IV iron infusions are given to patients who cannot tolerate oral iron tablets, are unable to absorb iron through the gut, or need a rapid increase in iron levels. We run a diabetes clinic every week where our focus is to optimise your diabetes care, and to screen for, and treat any complications of diabetes through both medical and educational services. Our doctors in the clinic work closely with diabetics educators, nurses, dietitians and podiatrists, ultimately to help you get the best out of your life. On top of a thorough assessment, we provide patient education, maintenance/follow-up of your respiratory disease, counselling on smoking cessation and spirometry testing. Barbara Boulevard Medical Centre now has access to all flu vaccines – private ones and government ones.

If you qualify for a FREE Government Flu Vaccine under the National Immunisation program, you can call us to book an appointment to get it done. If you are unsure whether you qualify, you can call us and talk to one of our doctors who can check your file and let you know.

If you do not qualify under the National Immunisation Program for a free Government Flu Vaccine, please enquire at reception for a booking for a private vaccine. We are selling them for $25.00 per dose.

We are pleased to inform, that Barbara Boulevard Medical Centre is now officially accredited to administer the Yellow Fever vaccine. This accreditation allows us to provide both the vaccine and the required International Certificate of Vaccination, which serves as official proof for international travel. The cost of the vaccine is $175, and all necessary documentation will be issued at the time of your appointment.

Yellow Fever vaccination is mandatory for entry into many countries, particularly in parts of Africa and South America, where the disease is more prevalent. It is important to receive the vaccine at least 10 days before your travel date, as this is the minimum time required for the vaccine to become effective and for the certificate to be considered valid by border authorities. We encourage all travelers to plan ahead and schedule their vaccination early to ensure a smooth and safe journey.

Our doctors are fully committed to provide you with the best healthcare and that includes helping you with your weight management. They provide counselling and advice and we also have a Dietician on site who can further help you with your weight management and weight goals. Our practice is fully equipped with ECG machines for heart checks. Any patients that come in with chest pains are immediately given an ECG heart check to assess the severity of the situation and then an action is taken based on the results. They are a great tool for the monitoring of heart problems and our practice is fully equipped to handle any situation that requires an ECG heart check.

We have a Psychologist available at our practice every Monday and Thursday for all your mental health needs. Referrals can be provided by any of our GPs on site and the sessions are bulk billed.

Dear Patients, we are excited to announce that we can do Aclasta infusions for you at our medical centre. Zoledronic acid (Aclasta) is used to treat people with Osteoporosis and other bone diseases. Please book in an appointment with the GP to see whether this is the right treatment option for you. Please note – charges may apply.

We have female GP’s available for women’s needs such as breast checks and Cervical screenings. It is recommended for women over the age of 45 to have a breast check done annually. Our GP’s are able to refer you to get regular mammograms as well for early detection of breast cancer.
